Kitale - Pupils of Top Station Primary School got an early Christmas and new year gift as KEPHIS renovated four classrooms at the school, thus improving their learning and teaching environments. The public school, adjacent to KEPHIS Kitale regional office, has a population of 760 learners from grade one to class eight, and 120 pupils in the ECDE pre-primary level.
KEPHIS repaired the floors and the walls, replaced window panes and repainted the walls and the roof. The renovations were completed in October and officially commissioned in December last year.
Other participants in the launch were the Assistant County Commissioner Kiminini, the representatives of the County directors of education and TSC. As is the Corporation’s regulatory role, other present during the handing over ceremony were the County Commissioner’s office, the TSC Trans Nzoia County, the County Quality Assurance Office, the County Education Office, among others.
The activity was part of sustainability activities as part of the KEPHIS Strategic Plan.
